Senior Accountant, Audit

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Audit team in Canada. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in conducting external and internal financial statement audits for private companies, leading field engagement teams, and coaching and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct financial statement audits and prepare review and notice to reader working paper files.
- Develop and maintain relationships with client management.
- Prepare financial statements and notes thereto, perform financial and systems analysis, and prepare personal and corporate income tax returns.
- Coach and mentor junior staff accountants.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Proven track record in project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses and maintain strong client relationships.
- Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professional performance.
- Ability to use previous experience and technical knowledge to benefit clients.
- Previous experience using accounting frameworks applicable in Canada (IFRS, ASPE, NPO, and/or Public Sector).
- Able to use a range of techniques to analyze issues.
- Previous use of Tax Prep and Caseware programs beneficial.
- Successful completion of the CFE and working towards a CPA designation.
- 2-3 years post-graduate experience with exposure to various industries.
