Job Title: Technical Installer

At the International Federation of Accountants, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Installer to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in delivering our global mission to strengthen public financial management and sustainable development globally.

About the Role

We are looking for a leader who can drive initiatives forward in a collaborative environment, constructively collaborate with other professionals and stakeholders, and help achieve an objective. You will work closely with the volunteer board to lead in developing standard-setting solutions to complex and emerging public sector issues, including leading and managing other technical team members in the delivery of the IPSASB's work program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain public sector financial and sustainability reporting standards
  • Inspire adoption and implementation of IPSAS and international public sector sustainability reporting standards
  • Engage with stakeholders such as governments, regulators, standard setters, accountancy firms, governance groups, and professional accountancy organizations around the world
  • Serve as a key contact for one or more of the Board's liaison and outreach activities with key stakeholder groups
Requirements
  • Technical expertise in public sector accounting, sustainability reporting, and public financial management
  • Project management expertise, including experience leading complex projects and managing and collaborating with others to meet project goals and deadlines
  • Strong leadership, knowledge, and expertise in contributing creatively and technically to the delivery of leading-edge standard-setting projects
  • Excellent technical and project management skills, strong computer literacy, and fluency in written and spoken English
  • At least 5 years of directly related work experience and 10+ years of professional experience
