Job Title: Technical/Design Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical/Design Manager to join our Rail and Transit team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with project managers and technical staff to execute rail and transit projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and coordination on design-build and similar projects
  • Ensure compliance with project agreements, engineering standards, and specifications
  • Plan and execute work in collaboration with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to foster a positive team environment
  • Provide technical coordination between teams during execution phases to ensure technical and schedule requirements are met
  • Participate in technical discussions during project meetings and lead in review of comments received on submittals
  • Manage the RFI process and follow Arcadis and project-related health and safety practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil or related discipline
  • Registered as P.Eng in Ontario or other jurisdictions in Canada
  • ~8-10 years of experience in design management and technical coordination
  • Experience in rail and transit projects in Canada, preferably within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area
  • Experience working on design-build projects
  • Strong knowledge of design, relevant standards, specifications, and local industry practices
  • Creative and time management skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
