Job Title: Youth Programmer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Programmer to join our team at Moose Cree First Nation. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing evening and weekend activities for youth in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement programs that cater to the needs and interests of youth in our community
  • Work with community partners to deliver programs and services that promote youth development and well-being
  • Supervise and support youth participants in program activities
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective program delivery
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of program activities and outcomes
Requirements:
  • College diploma in Child and Youth Worker or related social science or relevant college program
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and experience working with Aboriginal peoples and particularly Aboriginal youth
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work well in a team setting or under minimal supervision
  • Standard First Aid and CPR 'C' Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Current WHMIS and Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps or willingness to obtain
