We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Planning Specialist to join our team at S.i. Systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the migration of existing in-house DNS services and data to a third-party application, ensuring minimal disruption to operational services. This will involve transitioning Windows DNS services for a designated set of devices into the selected third-party application.
Additionally, the candidate will provide expert advice on the decommissioning process for existing Solaris servers and migration to Linux-based servers. This will include assessing and advising on the migration or retirement of custom Perl scripts currently running on Solaris servers.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of data transformation and migration strategies, as well as experience with BMC vendors and data mapping, transformation strategies, and development methodologies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive electronic and/or hard copies of all project-related materials, including technical and data architecture, migration plans, and any other documentation produced during the contract.
They will also be responsible for ensuring a seamless transition of services, providing expert advice, and enhancing the knowledge base of internal staff.
Key Responsibilities- Migrate existing in-house DNS services and data to a third-party application
