About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sewing Machine Operations Supervisor to join our team at Simply Sofaworks & More Ltd. Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Co-ordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless production flow.
    • Establish and implement methods to meet work schedules and deadlines.
    • Prepare and review production reports to identify areas for improvement.
    • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Operations Management
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
    • Set up and maintain sewing machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Supervise, co-ordinate, and schedule activities of workers to meet production demands.
    • Train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure that all products meet quality standards and are produced to specification.
    • Identify and address any quality control issues promptly.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed and that the workplace is safe and secure.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or risks identified.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.

Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a production or manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. The role will also require the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
