Job Title: Driver - Class 3 w/Air

At Sunrise Farms, we are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver - Class 3 w/Air to join our team. As a Driver - Class 3 w/Air, you will be responsible for ensuring that product is handled and kept in compliance with all internal policies, GMP, and local and Federal Food Regulations (CFIA / HACCP). You will deliver product to the customer as ordered and meet appointment times.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct full and proper pre-trip inspection and ensure all paperwork is filled out accurately.
  • Report any issues with the truck to Management ASAP.
  • Verify each customer's order on a pallet as it is being loaded onto the truck.
  • Ensure each order for each customer is correct when delivering.
  • Obtain a customer's signature on all invoices.
  • Keep Management informed of delays or waiting while on your run.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional manner.
  • Perform power jack and warehouse duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Good knowledge of the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
  • Must have knowledge of temperature-controlled products.
  • Must have a Class 3A driver's license (air endorsement).
  • Good math and writing skills - handwriting must be legible.
  • Must be fluent in English - spoken and written.
  • Must be at least 20 years of age.
  • Power jack operators certificate would be considered an asset.
  • Current food safe certificate (an asset).
  • Current level 1 first aid (an asset).
  • Manual dexterity required for operating equipment.
  • Continuous heavy lifting required.
  • Must have two years commercial driving experience.
  • Clean commercial drivers abstract for 3 years, and no suspensions in the previous 5 years.
Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to wet/cold conditions.
  • Exposure to excessive noise.
  • Work involves inclement weather to include snow and ice which creates challenging driving conditions.
  • Physically demanding (walking, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling).
  • Walking/standing for long periods of time.
  • Heavy lifting of up to 35kg is constant throughout your work day.
  • All vehicles are equipped with GPS and ELD.
  • Working days and hours are M-F, shift starting anywhere between 4:00am to 10:00am PST.
