At Bar George, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Porter to join our team. As a Porter, you will be responsible for the set-up, tear down, and transportation of products in our restaurant. This includes moving and placing tables, chairs, decorations, and other items required for events and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Set-Up and Tear Down: Prepare and set up the venue according to the set plan and guests' requests, ensuring that every detail is met.
- Logistics and Organization: Lead other staff members to ensure efficient and effective setup, and maintain the organization and upkeep of the restaurant.
- Safety and Health Compliance: Comply with and act in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Communication: Receive and sign off on materials and shipments from clients and couriers, and notify a manager each time.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage a variable workload, ensuring safe, timely, and accurate completion of assigned work.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to listen and follow clear directions.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or occasional overnight shifts.
