Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Customer Service Authorization Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional support to retail locations across North America. This position primarily focuses on assisting with check cashing services while also providing support for various other financial products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner, demonstrating a genuine desire to assist and resolve their inquiries with clear and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of relevant products and current support policies to ensure accurate and effective solutions for users.
  • Participate in training sessions as needed to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Achieve performance targets as outlined by management.
  • Review and approve check transactions.
  • Evaluate checks that are large, exceed guidelines, or are in the clearing process.
  • Handle customer and employee inquiries.
  • Provide support to store personnel and assist with customer service related to collections when necessary.
  • Manage commercial accounts.
  • Authorize new commercial business accounts.
  • Negotiate terms for commercial business customers.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for all commercial accounts.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate directly with store staff through various channels including phone, chat, and email.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2 years of experience in a retail environment.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Proven track record of exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic team setting.
  • Confident, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Technical proficiency in relevant software and systems is essential.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts aligned with retail hours.
  • Excellent communication abilities, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in technical writing.

COMPENSATION

Minimum Pay Range: $52,000 CAD
