About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor to join our Oil and Gas Audit Team in the Government of British Columbia. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a key role in planning, conducting, and coordinating audits for royalty and credit programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, conduct, and coordinate audits for royalty and credit programs
  • Use software tools such as Excel for risk assessments and supporting policy development
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the BC Energy Regulator and the Ministry of Energy Mines and Low Carbon Initiatives
  • Work independently and as part of a close-knit team
Requirements
  • Professional accounting designation CPA - CA, CGA, CMA, issued by a Canadian Accounting Association
  • Minimum of 3 years audit and/or accounting experience
  • Minimum of 2 years audit experience in a tax and/or royalty environment
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Willingness to conduct field work which may include travel within and outside of the province
