Job Summary

The Business Unit Leader will oversee the strategic direction and operational performance of one of Wasteco's Business Units, driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a seasoned leader with expertise in matrix management, change management, and talent development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a local market strategy that aligns with the Area's overall strategic operating and marketing plans.
  • Lead a team of functional experts to execute the corporate strategy, ensuring compliance with environmental, operating, regulatory, safety, accounting, and ethics standards.
  • Drive commercial, industrial, residential, and municipal sales efforts within the Business Unit to achieve targeted growth objectives and exceed customer experience expectations.
  • Manage performance and talent development, building and maintaining strong relationships with government, community, and environmental groups.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or Business.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership and management responsibility.
  • Ability to direct large staff, manage an extended span of control, and drive change management initiatives.
