We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Care Nurse to join our team at Island Health. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, with a focus on primary care and community health.
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
- A valid registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN(C) registrant.
- Three (3) years' recent related experience in primary care and community health, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Basic Life Support, Level C certificate, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- A valid BC driver's license.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Applying the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care.
- Demonstrating clinical competence and working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Utilizing sound judgment, good observation and assessment skills, and tact and empathy to provide patient-centered care.
- Fact-finding and seeking out information and resources to support patient care.
- Intervening in crisis or difficult situations and prioritizing service needs and delivery of service.
- Maintaining a commitment to continuing professional development and promoting good public relations.
- Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, and dealing with others effectively.
