We are seeking a highly skilled Process Design Engineer to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our process design team, you will be responsible for leading process design during studies, basic and detailed engineering project phases.
- Develop and implement process design criteria, including equipment sizing calculations and PFD/P&ID development.
- Provide technical support for process design work, including metallurgical test work support and budget/resource forecast management.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to deliver best practice process design.
- Liaise with the Global Ausenco Process Team to ensure alignment with company standards and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest process technology developments and innovations.
- Apply lean thinking and design innovation principles to process designs.
- Represent Ausenco's corporate image through marketing and conference activities.
- Demonstrate leadership in industry safety protocols and best practices.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- At least 5-10 years of experience in mineral processing, with a focus on precious and base metals (gold, PGMs, nickel, copper, silver, lead, etc.).
- Experience with hydrometallurgical processing, effluent treatment, EPCM studies, and projects is an asset.
- Ability to effectively communicate and translate field and engineering experience to other process staff and design activities.
- Leadership abilities, including project management skills, lead design role capability, and supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to align with Ausenco's corporate culture and client base business cultures.
- Bachelor's degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering.
- PE registration in Ontario preferred, future eligibility is required.
