Epidemiologist, Immunization and Vaccine Preventable Diseases Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Epidemiologist to join our team at the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC). As an Epidemiologist, you will play a critical role in the prevention and control of communicable diseases in the province of BC.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain surveillance initiatives to monitor and track communicable diseases.
- Conduct outbreak investigations and provide consultation services to regional health authorities, other provincial partners, and national partners.
- Analyze communicable disease data to identify trends and patterns, and develop reports and recommendations for interventions.
- Provide education and training to healthcare professionals and the public on communicable disease prevention and control.
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to develop and implement public health initiatives.
- Masters degree in Epidemiology or Public Health.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of public health.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in an interdisciplinary team environment.
