Therapeutic Foster Care - Team Leader

Position Overview

The Team Leader will oversee the daily functions of the Therapeutic Foster Care Program, ensuring the delivery of exceptional services and adherence to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the program, collaborating with managers and staff to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Recruit, supervise, and evaluate frontline staff, maintaining accurate records of their hours.
  • Engage in case management in accordance with established policies, serving as the primary contact for families and community resources.
  • Provide consistent supervision and implement training programs for all team members.
  • Maintain financial accountability for program-related expenses and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Participate in meetings and case reviews to discuss client progress and program effectiveness.
  • Complete all necessary health and safety training and report any workplace hazards to management.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, or a related field.
  • At least four years of experience working with children and families.
  • Proven leadership abilities and strong theoretical knowledge of milieu therapy.
  • Excellent critical thinking, clinical problem-solving, and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated personal suitability for the role.
