About the Position

Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the Assistant Technical Theatre Lead will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of all technical aspects for Creative Manitoba's productions. This position is ideal for an individual with a passion for theatre and a strong understanding of technical production processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Technical Director to develop and implement comprehensive technical plans for various performances and events.
  • Coordinate with designers, artists, and stage managers to ensure seamless integration of technical elements into productions.
  • Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and operation of all technical equipment and resources.
  • Supervise and mentor technical crews, providing guidance and support throughout the production process.
  • Conduct thorough safety inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a technical theatre environment, preferably within a professional arts organization.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of theatrical rigging, lighting, sound systems, and stage machinery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
