Job Summary:
The Stage Production Coordinator is a key member of the York University theatre team, responsible for coordinating the logistical, technical, and operational aspects of theatre productions. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the setup and strike of theatre productions, including the installation and removal of sets, lighting, and sound equipment.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth execution of shows, including rehearsals, performances, and technical rehearsals.
- Manage and maintain the theatre's inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Develop and implement procedures for the safe handling and storage of equipment and materials.
- Collaborate with the technical crew to ensure that all technical aspects of the production are executed to a high standard.
Requirements:
- Enrolled as a York University student in year 2, 3, or 4.
- Previous experience in theatre production, preferably in a stage management or technical role.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
