The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Asset Integrity Engineering Student to join our team. As a key player in ensuring the reliability and safety of critical assets, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with various stakeholders.

This role offers hands-on experience in asset integrity engineering, including inspection, repair, risk assessment, and corrosion management. You will have the chance to work with a wide range of equipment types and develop practical skills using engineering tools.

As a member of our team, you will contribute to safeguarding critical assets in a dynamic industry, ensuring their reliability and safety. You will also have the opportunity to participate in significant projects and gain valuable experience in the field of asset integrity engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the writing of engineering assessments for new and existing systems
  • Develop corrosion mitigation and inspection strategies for pipelines, plant equipment, and piping systems
  • Review and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to ensure asset integrity targets are being monitored and maintained
  • Provide materials engineering support to ongoing operation, maintenance, and new projects
  • Participate in metallurgical failure analysis of failed or damaged components
  • Perform analysis of inspection and failure data and provide engineering recommendations for ongoing repair and mitigation strategies
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous integrity engineering-related experience is considered an asset
  • Required to be physically and mentally fit for work
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or equivalent out-of-province license with a reasonably clean driver abstract
  • A pre-employment drug and alcohol test must be completed
