Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our Assurance team in our Hamilton office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements and working papers for audit engagements, as well as preparing corporate and personal income tax returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently prepare financial statements and working papers for audit engagements
  • Prepare financial statements and working papers for review and compilation engagements
  • Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns
Requirements
  • Experience in a public accounting practice with 1-3 years' experience in an intermediate/senior role
  • Successful completion of CFE and/or CPA designation
  • Thorough understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS)
  • Good understanding of and experience with Canadian income taxation
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
