Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary liaison for outsourcing teams, facilitating tool implementation, asset generation, performance benchmarks, and troubleshooting within Frostbite and our digital content creation workflows.
- Collaborate with outsourcing partners, technical artists, tools engineers, and rendering specialists to enhance workflows and tools, thereby expanding our asset management and production capabilities.
- Assist teams in integrating raw assets into the source and establish necessary testing, processes, or tool enhancements.
- Identify and propose enhancements to pipelines, workflows, and tools to align with product objectives, focusing on efficiency, quality of life, and usability improvements.
- Assess performance and budget constraints of content produced in collaboration with outsourcing vendors, providing support to identify issues and enhance content efficiency.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of current industry-standard content workflows, tools, and pipelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technical Artist specializing in tools and pipelines.
- Proven experience in developing tools and pipelines for at least 1-2 released console or PC titles.
- Strong understanding of the architecture behind complex tools and pipelines, emphasizing user-friendly workflows for content creators (artists/designers) and scalability.
- Passion for collaborating with diverse audiences to advance technology and tool development, including content creators, technical artists, and software engineers.
- Familiarity with at least one of the following pipelines: environments, character design, rigging, animation, or asset management.
- Knowledge of real-time game content requirements to ensure efficiency and high quality in tool outputs.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C#, or C++.
- Extensive expertise in various 2D and 3D art software and workflows, including but not limited to Maya, Photoshop, Substance, or Houdini.
