Role Overview: The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is tasked with leading a team of Technicians to deliver both preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as routine and urgent services for designated facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of tasks performed by Technicians, ensuring compliance with established protocols and adherence to all internal and external regulations, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection standards.
  • In addition to leadership duties, the Supervisor will also engage in hands-on preventative and corrective maintenance, along with routine and urgent service requests.
  • Monitor team performance and activity execution to guarantee timely completion of tasks, meeting all operational procedures, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities, mechanical, and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and asset integrity.
  • Respond to service requests and perform necessary maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems within the facility.
  • Maintain accurate work order records within the service management database and assist in implementing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Facilitate training sessions, safety meetings, and operational discussions to promote a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Be available for shift work, on-call duties, and emergency response as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility operations and maintenance.
  • High school diploma with relevant trades training and certification.
  • Advanced skills in adhering to facility operations and maintenance processes.
  • Proficient in maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities related to building systems.
  • Current knowledge of fire, life safety, and building codes, with the ability to research and apply relevant standards.
  • Effective communication skills for clear data exchange and feedback.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Journeyman level Refrigeration license.
  • Journeyman level Electrical license.
  • Journeyman level Plumbing license.
  • Building Operator Certification.
  • Systems Maintenance Administration Certification is an asset.

Compensation: This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage. The starting salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and performance.
