Key Responsibilities
- Conduct urban water, sanitary, and drainage system modeling, including data management, model configuration, calibration, and system evaluation;
- Oversee the creation of infrastructure servicing plans for subdivisions, neighborhoods, and city-wide areas;
- Execute hydrological and hydraulic modeling and spearhead the development of Integrated Stormwater Management Plans and Flood Management Plans;
- Design rainwater source control Low Impact Development (LID) concepts and assist in LID implementations;
- Lead technical assessments supporting civil engineering designs related to municipal water, sanitary sewer, drainage conveyance systems, and hydraulic structures;
- Prepare construction cost estimates, implementation strategies, and operation and maintenance documentation;
- Draft and review technical memoranda and reports.
Additional duties will encompass client communication and management, proposal preparation assistance, coordination with subconsultants and regulatory bodies, as well as project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and other project management responsibilities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline with 6-9 years of relevant experience;
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation;
- Proficient in hydrological and hydraulic analysis and modeling using various methodologies and software;
- Experienced in infrastructure master planning and flood management strategies;
- Skilled in using Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS or QGIS, PCSWMM, and other software for report preparation, presentations, and designs;
- Experienced in project management;
- Strong communication and technical writing abilities;
- Able to thrive in a multi-disciplinary setting.
