About the Role
LRO Staffing is collaborating with a prominent client in the oil and gas services sector to recruit a skilled Finance Manager. This organization is recognized for its commitment to innovation and excellence, creating a collaborative workplace where employees are encouraged to thrive and develop their skills.
As the company continues to grow, they are looking for a proactive and experienced Finance Manager to join their team. This position presents a remarkable opportunity for career advancement, with the possibility of progressing to a Controller role in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the financial operations of the organization, reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance. You will lead a team of six accounting professionals, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Manage all facets of the accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of accounting professionals, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of financial statements, management reports, and compliance filings.
- Collaborate with the VP of Finance to develop and manage the annual budget, offering insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to protect company assets and ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Coordinate external audits and oversee tax compliance, working with external advisors as needed.
- Prepare for a seamless transition to the Controller role by gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company's financial operations.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation is preferred.
- Significant experience in accounting and finance roles, ideally within the oil and gas services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting financial information clearly to senior management.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive base salary in the range of $110,000 to $120,000.
