Key Responsibilities:
- Addressing the emotional, instrumental, and social needs of patients and their families through various interventions, including counseling and psychoeducation.
- Identifying and mitigating barriers affecting the social determinants of health for cancer patients.

Position Overview:
As a Social Worker II, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver a comprehensive range of social work services to patients and their families. Your role will encompass psychosocial assessments, resource-based interventions, individual and group therapy, risk assessments, counseling, case management, discharge planning, and community outreach initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of a bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of five years of experience in an inpatient adult cancer care environment. Proficiency in trauma-informed care. Experience in facilitating group sessions and providing psychoeducation. Familiarity with cancer-specific community and financial resources. Proven ability to establish relationships with community partners. Experience in delivering virtual care.
