We are currently seeking a Receptionist / Medical Assistant who is committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients.

Position Overview: The Receptionist / Medical Assistant will support healthcare providers in facilitating a smooth patient experience and ensuring effective care delivery. This is a permanent full-time position, requiring availability for 4-5 days a week, including weekends.

Key Location: St. George Medical Centre, Winnipeg, MB

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the clinic, including patient registration, managing phone inquiries, scheduling appointments, and following up on referrals and test results.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with various administrative tasks.
  • Guide patients through registration forms and necessary documentation.
  • Manage referrals to specialists and coordinate diagnostic bookings.
  • Update and maintain patient demographic information accurately.
  • Handle payment processing for non-insured services.
  • Assist with the completion of third-party forms and correspondence.
Qualifications:
  • A certificate or diploma in Medical Office Administration is advantageous.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Experience in administrative roles or customer service, even outside the medical field, is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and strong computer skills are desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and organizational capabilities are essential.
