Position OverviewWe are actively seeking new or recent graduates to participate in our Management Development Program. This full-time, salaried role comes with a comprehensive benefits package and the potential for profit sharing.
Successful candidates may be required to relocate within Canada for training purposes, with relocation assistance provided. Opportunities are available nationwide.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Management Trainee, you will navigate through a structured 5-phase program designed to familiarize you with every facet of our operations—from logistics and counter sales to operations management and employee development. You will cultivate your own sales territory, gaining insights into our customer base while delivering exceptional service. Throughout this journey, you will receive mentorship and support from experienced managers and colleagues across Canada, paving the way for a successful management career at EMCO.
Program Structure:
Phase 1: Warehouse Logistics – Understand the products we offer and the logistics of getting them from vendors to customers.
Phase 2: Counter Operations – Engage in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory control, and financial oversight.
Phase 3: Inside Sales – Transition from assisting customers with service inquiries to managing larger projects, including interpreting blueprints and generating material lists/quotes.
Phase 4: Outside Sales/Account Management – Discover new business opportunities, promote our products, negotiate contracts, and cultivate relationships with customers and vendors.
Phase 5: Supervisor – Step into a leadership role where you will provide strategic direction, mentor team members, and oversee business operations.
Upon completing the training phases, you will be equipped to embrace the challenges of a managerial position at one of our Canadian Profit Center locations.
Candidate Qualifications- A university degree or college diploma in any field of study
