About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Tower Services and Contracting Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections and troubleshoot equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Order parts and maintain inventory, adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities, including test results and repair history.
  • Quality Control: Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications and performs properly.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication tasks to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Specialized Skills: Possess specialized environmental skills and knowledge, and be able to perform repair work on heavy trucks.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Tools and Equipment: Possess necessary tools and steel-toed safety boots.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, dependable, reliable, team player, and organized.
