Position Overview: Marine Mechanic for Equipment Installation and Maintenance

We are looking for a skilled Marine Mechanic to undertake the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. Reporting to the foreman, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Executing the installation and repair of mechanical systems on vessels under construction or in dry dock;
  • Utilizing lifting devices, disassembling and reassembling machinery, and participating in testing procedures;
  • Installing and maintaining piping systems;
  • Conducting maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment;
  • Performing preventive inspections and routine maintenance tasks;
  • Assessing and repairing both stationary and mobile machinery;
  • Completing additional tasks as directed by the foreman;
  • Contributing to health, safety, and environmental management initiatives.

Ideal candidates should possess a diploma in mechanics along with a minimum of two years of experience in the maritime or industrial field. Familiarity with diesel mechanics and relevant experience are considered advantageous. A valid driver's license, strong manual dexterity, adaptability, teamwork skills, and a willingness to travel are essential attributes for this role.
