Key Responsibilities:- Process blood samples and other laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently
- Enter requisitions and results in a timely manner, ensuring data integrity and quality
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns with empathy and kindness
- Work collaboratively with laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations and meet quality metrics
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
- Secondary school diploma and completion of a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with specialized training in phlebotomy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, at a level that enables clear communication with patients and colleagues
- Normal office environment with occasional exposure to biohazardous substances and temperature differences
- Required to lift a maximum of 30 pounds and stand for prolonged periods with frequent walking and repetitive motions
