Job Summary

The TEP GROUP is seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team. As an Engineering Associate - Civil Design, you will be responsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement civil design solutions for various projects
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Prepare and modify drawings, reports, and other technical documents
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of project progress and performance

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and other relevant software
  • Telecommunication experience is an asset
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to work in Canada

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrate focus on accuracy and high attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed-upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
  • Strong project management skills: ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs as needed
  • Self-motivated, able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge in identifying high-quality solutions
  • Ability to work with functional groups and different levels of employees throughout the organization to effectively and professionally achieve business results
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with both internal and external customers and vendors
  • Proficient with computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Adhere to all company and industry standard/regulations/safety practices

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The TEP GROUP offers a hybrid office environment with a minimum of three days in the office. Work is performed in a climate-controlled internal office environment.
