Job Title: Licensed Mechanic

First Student Canada is seeking a skilled Licensed Mechanic to join our team. As a Licensed Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our school buses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle and equipment issues under minimal supervision.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including brake repairs, engine tune-ups, and suspension work.
  • Lead preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain records of all maintenance work completed, including parts and supplies used.
  • Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
  • Lead road calls and emergency services as necessary.
  • Adhere to First Student Canada standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Valid 310 T Mechanic license.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Advanced problem-solving ability.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work assigned shift.
