The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Cloud DevOps Specialist to oversee the deployment and operations of tools supporting our collaboration and productivity. As a member of a cross-functional team, you will bridge the gap between software development, testing, and operations teams. You will join a team of highly skilled and passionate individuals who bring industry best practices to our workflow.

Your Impact

  • Monitor, support, and maintain software products in an Agile Development environment.
  • Implement, maintain, and support CICD pipelines and processes for on-premises and Cloud computing infrastructure used day-to-day by the R&D organization for the development, configuration, and delivery of commercial software solutions.
  • Maintain and improve our in-house DevOps code written in different languages (Bash, Python, Go).
  • Research, recommend, and implement tools and process improvements in Cloud operations, monitoring, and security.
  • Enable a culture of accountability and collaboration with customer support, development, security, and product management teams.
  • Assist with implementation and adherence to security best practices and certification controls.
  • Document operational processes and critical infrastructure.
  • Maintain clear communications, documentation, and timely support.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and modern technologies that could benefit operations, security, or Cloud solutions.
  • Mentor and support technical growth of team members.
  • Participate in on-call rotation of critical events.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or equivalent, with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and projects.
  • Strong cloud architecture, cloud operations, security architecture, security engineering, and DevOps skills.
  • Strong experience with container engines such as Docker.
  • Strong experience with the Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Strong experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CrossPlane, etc.
  • Strong experience with SCM and CI/CD systems such as Gitlab and GitHub.
  • Strong experience with Artifact Repositories and Vulnerability Scanning.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, and other public Cloud providers.
  • Experience with GitOps and Promotion Models.
  • Experience with monitoring systems and log management.
  • Exposure to agile development methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Bilingualism - ability to communicate in writing and spoken in both French and English is a plus.
