Valard Construction LP stands as a leading powerline contractor, catering to both public and private sector clients. Our expertise encompasses construction services for overhead and underground transmission and distribution systems, substations, fiber optics, as well as the foundations for substations and transmission lines.

We are currently in search of qualified Journeyman Powerline Technicians to enhance our workforce. We value self-driven, collaborative individuals who are committed to being part of a dynamic team that plays a vital role in supporting Valard's various projects.

Position Details:

Work schedule involves a 7/7 shift rotation.

Compensation structure includes: 40 hours at straight time, 10 hours at overtime, and 20 hours at double time (subject to modifications).

Accommodation provisions are available.

Training specific to Ontario will be provided if necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must possess a Qualified Red Seal as a Journeyman Powerline Technician.
  • A minimum of a DZ license is required; preference will be given to those with an AZ license.
  • Experience in the maintenance and construction of distribution lines, with a strong ability to adhere to instructions and procedures.
  • Safety-conscious mindset.
  • Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Foreman or a senior member of the Valard team.
  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are essential.
