Job Summary

MAVI TRANSPORT LTD. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS systems, and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods with precision and care, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing damage.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent mechanical issues and ensure the vehicle is always in top condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately and efficiently.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping and handling procedures.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid AZ class license and a valid driver's license.
  • Equipment and Tools: Utilize steel-toed safety boots and other necessary equipment to perform duties safely and efficiently.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the job, including handling heavy loads and sitting for extended periods.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying weather conditions and terrain.
