Your Opportunity:
This permanent full-time position is based in the Fairview Health Complex in Fairview, Alberta. As a Physiotherapist II, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings in a rural environment, including acute care, long-term care, and outpatient settings. You will also have the chance to supervise a Therapy Assistant and work with clients of all ages to provide physiotherapy services to the area.
About the Role:
As a Physiotherapist II, you will be responsible for coordinating physiotherapy and other allied health clinical services. You will provide supervision to students and team members as assigned and work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge, and follow-up. You will also make decisions and advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership within the program or service area to ensure safe, efficient, and effective client care.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate physiotherapy and other allied health clinical services
- Supervise students and team members as assigned
- Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs
- Make decisions and advise team members on complex clinical cases
- Provide clinical leadership within the program or service area
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience
- Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
