You will also communicate with applicants and agents regarding missing or incorrect information, and provide timely and clear communication about case decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly review health insurance applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Exercise sound medical underwriting judgment based on underwriting requirements and case documentation.
  • Communicate with applicants and agents to clarify missing or inaccurate information on applications.
  • Provide timely and professional communication of case decisions to applicants.
  • Submit recommendations for cases exceeding approval limits to Senior Underwriters or Managers.
  • Order necessary medical records and reports according to underwriting guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in insurance underwriting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with mainframe applications is an asset.
