Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Contract Administrator to join our team in Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering construction contracts, monitoring compliance with contract terms, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and calculate production rates to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Administer contract terms and conditions, including operational constraints and quality control measures.
  • Conduct site surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications.
  • Compile field and test data in a report format.
  • Liaise with service providers for specialized inspections and testing.
  • Attend site meetings and coordinate with project stakeholders.
  • Obtain video and photographic records as required.

Qualifications

  • A Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology/Technician.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in engineering/construction working on transportation structures projects.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training with PEO, or Technician/Technologist with O.A.C.E.T.T.
  • Designation as a Road Construction Senior Inspector (RCsi) or Road Construction Contract Administration (RCCA) is an asset.
  • Prior experience working on MTO or City of Ottawa projects is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications (OPSS), Ontario Provincial Standard Drawings (OPSD), Contract Documents, and relevant legislation.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Experience working with MS Project or Primavera is considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • A valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Able to work on weekends and nights as required.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
