POSITION SUMMARY:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials. This position requires a high level of expertise in nuclear medicine technology, ensuring optimal patient care and image quality.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training, and Experience

  1. Certification from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (RTNM).
  2. Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine technology diploma program.
  3. Eligibility for CAMRT membership.
  4. Completion of educational courses in CT and/or equivalent in-house training in physics, instrumentation, and CT clinical applications.
  5. A minimum of one year of recent, relevant experience in nuclear medicine within an acute care hospital environment.
  6. Proficiency in performing various Diagnostic and Therapeutic radioisotope procedures.

  • Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, engaging with patients, clients, and their families.
