Position Summary:

As a Senior Corporate Security Advisor, you will serve as a key expert in risk management and security protocols. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive risk assessments of our facilities, oversee security operations, and provide expert consultation on security measures related to BCLC's diverse offerings.

This role is vital in ensuring that BCLC maintains a robust framework of security, integrity, and operational efficiency, all while upholding our commitment to social responsibility and public trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing risk and threat evaluations, conducting facility inspections to ensure compliance and identify vulnerabilities. Develop and implement necessary security policies based on findings.
  • Offer strategic advice on security measures to protect employees and assets, and keep senior management informed on security-related issues.
  • Supervise contract security personnel, including creating operational guidelines and managing vendor performance.
  • Oversee internal CCTV and access control systems, ensuring proper maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement a corporate security training program, including planning and delivering training sessions for staff.
  • Manage daily operations of Security Services, ensuring alignment with BCLC's principles and compliance with organizational values.
  • Lead and manage Corporate Security projects as assigned, ensuring effective execution and administration.
  • Administer the Workplace Violence Prevention Program, conducting assessments and providing guidance on personal safety plans.
  • Collaborate on the development and review of training programs for Casino Surveillance and Gaming Security Officers.
  • Provide consultative support on security and compliance matters across all BCLC business lines.

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in risk management, business, or criminology.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in corporate security, risk management, or compliance.
  • Proven project management skills and familiarity with risk assessment methodologies.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a history of innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Critical thinking skills for investigating and resolving issues.
  • Strong initiative and the ability to influence decisions.
