Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to clients and healthcare providers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Evaluate client needs and provide recommendations for transportation services, ensuring that clients receive the most suitable support.
  • Manage client data and appointment information, maintaining accurate records and ensuring confidentiality.
  • Facilitate financial transactions, including registrations and volunteer billing, while adhering to strict privacy and financial policies.
  • Collaborate with volunteers and staff to ensure seamless delivery of transportation services, minimizing delays and cancellations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance the overall client experience and ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of treatment facilities and services, providing clients with accurate information to support their needs.
  • Ensure client confidentiality and maintain a welcoming environment for clients on the phone.
  • Highlight other services available to clients, including the Cancer Information Healthline, CancerConnection, and the Community Services Locator.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of justice, belonging, equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring that all staff feel represented and heard.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education and a minimum 2-years related experience in a client-focused environment.
  • Ability to deal with competing priorities, high volumes of work, and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit discretion where appropriate.
  • Proficient in database applications and advanced geographic knowledge.
  • Knowledge of regional hospital systems is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate in languages other than English is an asset.
