**Job Summary**

The Senior Grocery Clerk is a key member of the Federated Co-operatives Limited team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing leadership to grocery clerks. This role requires a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Open and close the store, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for customers and employees.
  • Order and stock grocery merchandise, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Merchandise and display packaged products, creating an attractive and inviting shopping experience.
  • Receive and unload trucks, ensuring timely and efficient receipt of merchandise.
  • Maintain department cleanliness and housekeeping standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.

**Requirements**

  • 1-2 years of previous Grocery Department or retail experience is an asset.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Able to lift to 50 lbs. daily.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on employee engagement.

**Availability**

Full availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
