About the Role

Caringpeople Healthcare Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Aide to join our team. As a Personal Support Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care and Support
    • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
    • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
    • Assist patients with mobility and transfer
    • Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance
    • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
    • Assist with laundry and linen services
    • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as dusting and vacuuming
  • Communication and Documentation
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
    • Document patient information and progress
  • Teamwork and Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and other support staff
    • Participate in team meetings and training sessions
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in patient care or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations
  • Knowledge of patient care software and systems
