GHD is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Rail and Transit practice in the GTA office.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of rail and transit projects, including light rail, bus rapid transit, and commuter rail.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects to budget, schedule, and quality standards, and providing overall supervision and project management leadership during the design-build full cycle phase.

You will also be responsible for being proactive and responsive to client requests, monitoring project schedules, and coordinating with sub-consultants, municipalities, utility companies, railway owners and operators, and clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering rail and transit projects to budget, schedule, and quality standards
  • Providing overall supervision and project management leadership during the design-build full cycle phase
  • Being proactive and responsive to client requests
  • Monitoring project schedules and coordinating with sub-consultants, municipalities, utility companies, railway owners and operators, and clients

Requirements:

  • Project management experience on LRT or BRT projects within Canada
  • Knowledge in alternate project delivery (P3, DB), and experience in teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants
  • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience coordinating multi-discipline engineering teams
  • Experience monitoring project budget and schedule of deliverables in a fast-paced project
  • Experience using software to control budget and provide schedule updates
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hold a Professional Engineering License in the Province of Ontario or in process, PMP designation is also an asset
