Position Overview

As a Forklift Operator at XPO, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Flexibility: Availability to work various shifts, including weekends, to accommodate fluctuating freight volumes.
  • Experience: Previous dock or warehouse experience in the transportation sector is essential.
  • Forklift Proficiency: Hands-on experience operating forklifts in a freight or less-than-truckload setting.
Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will involve:

  • Efficiently sorting, handling, loading, and unloading both palletized and non-palletized freight.
  • Utilizing appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, to manage freight.
  • Securing freight within trailers using the necessary tools and supplies.
  • Adhering to safety protocols while working in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

This position requires:

  • Ability to lift freight and other items of various shapes and sizes, frequently up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods on a loading dock that may be slippery and is not climate-controlled.
