We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy Consultant to enhance our community-based OT Services program. This role is available on a contractor basis, offering flexibility for both full-time and part-time engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical and functional assessments for diverse clients, including those with physical injuries and mental health conditions.
  • Design and implement evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Regularly reassess and adjust programs to meet client needs.
  • Perform home evaluations to identify necessary equipment and support services.
  • Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team to optimize client management.
  • Facilitate smooth return-to-work processes for clients, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload and ensure accurate documentation of client interactions.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports as required.

Qualifications:
  • Active membership with COTBC.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Completion of relevant post-graduate courses in Occupational Therapy.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required (exemptions may apply).

Preferred Experience:
  • A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, particularly with mental health and neurological conditions.
  • Experience in return-to-work initiatives and interdisciplinary care.
  • Background in community-based practice.
  • Familiarity with chronic pain management and concussion treatment.
