About the Role

National Logistics Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled System Integration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Systems Integrations team, you will be responsible for partnering with our internal developer to modify and enhance source code for software applications involved in system-to-system interfaces, data flow, and integration middleware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Clients: Work with clients in workshops and discovery sessions to analyze and define interfaces and finer details in scope.
  • Document Integration Processes: Create technical guides and document integration processes to ensure seamless integration.
  • Implement Best Practices: Implement best practices for system integration and data management to ensure efficient and effective integration.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to logistics and integration.
  • Provide Application Support: Provide support for WMi application, including issue resolution and testing.
  • Expert Knowledge: Provide expert knowledge of cross-functional and system processes to ensure smooth integration.
  • Preventative Measures: Define preventative measures and exception handling to avoid recurrences.
  • Monitor System Performance: Monitor the performance of integrated systems and processes to ensure optimal results.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Collaborate with other team members around production incidents and bugs involving integration.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Drive a continuous improvement mindset across the integration landscape, identifying opportunities for improving integration processes and technologies.
  • Execute Testing Stages: Execute and support the testing stages of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle): System Testing, Integration Testing, Acceptance Testing, and Unit Testing.
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity and quality throughout the integration process.
  • Develop Integration Solutions: Develop and implement integration solutions for 3PL partners, accountable for the technical delivery of new interfaces and overall quality.
  • Design Data Schemas: Design and manage data schemas and mappings for integration purposes.
  • Work with 3rd Parties: Run the design in collaboration with 3rd parties and internal development team.
  • Illustrate Functional Designs: Illustrate and support end-to-end functional designs for interfaces using EDI, XML, DSV, SQL, APIs, web services, and SFTP.
  • Support Business Teams: Work closely with internal functional and business teams to support the translation of requirements into technical specifications and mapping documents to Manhattan WMS.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree or college diploma in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Logistics Experience: 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain systems integration is considered an asset.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Integration Experience: Experience with developing integration in many languages and technologies like EDI, XML, DSV, APIs, etc.
  • File Transfer Protocols: Experience with file transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, AS2, etc.
  • SQL and Database Management: Experience in SQL and database management.
  • Integration Platforms: Hands-on experience with integration platforms such as Boomi, Mulesoft, or Workato will be a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communicator at multiple levels and across multiple disciplines.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Team Orientation: Team-oriented, able to provide input into a multifunctional team.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated, capable of working with limited supervision.
  • Proactive Reporting: Proactive reporting on status and tasks.
  • Task Adaptability: Willingness to take on tasks outside of the defined role.
  • Time Management: Capable of working to both tactical and strategic timescales.
