Job Summary

American Iron & Metal Company is seeking a Scale Clerk to join our team at our Granby site. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring receipts and shipments of materials, weighing equipment, and issuing weighing tickets. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, experience in the transportation field, and strong knowledge of Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor receipts and shipments of materials through the entry and exit of trucks/trailers
  • Weigh equipment and issue weighing tickets
  • Make delivery notes in the software
  • Answer phone calls and redirect them as needed
  • Prepare shipping papers
  • Track material shipments
  • Perform reports

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience in the transportation field (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of Excel

Skills and Qualities

  • Rigor
  • Good communication
  • Excellent customer service
  • Good knowledge of software, computer systems
  • Good at mental arithmetic

Work Schedule

  • Work schedule from Tuesday to Saturday by the following distribution:
  • Tuesday to Friday: 8am to 5pm
  • Saturday: 8am to 12pm
