About the Role

Viking Ventures Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of buildings, bridges, and other structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working at heights, in noisy and dusty environments. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles.

Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability and punctuality
