Job Title: Deckhand - Fishing Vessel

We are seeking a skilled Deckhand to join our team at North Delta Seafoods Ltd. as a key member of our fishing vessel crew.

Job Summary:

The Deckhand will be responsible for assisting the crew in the preparation and operation of fishing gear, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the vessel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and Operation of Fishing Gear: Assist in preparing nets, lines, and other fishing tackle, and operate fishing gear to catch fish and other marine life.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Repair nets, splice ropes, and maintain fishing gear and other deck equipment.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean deck surfaces and fish hold, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Cooking and Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook meals for crew members.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Certifications: Commercial Fishing Licence.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
