About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in a fast-paced ICU environment, providing emergency nursing care to clients/patients of all ages. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for stabilizing and resuscitating multi-trauma victims, preparing for and responding to disaster situations, and enhancing quality of life from the perspective of the client/family.
Responsibilities- Provide emergency nursing care to clients/patients of all ages
- Stabilize and resuscitate multi-trauma victims
- Prepare for and respond to disaster situations
- Enhance quality of life from the perspective of the client/family
- Consult, confer, and collaborate with other healthcare providers
- Maintain and advance clinical competence
- Participate on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Completion of a recognized critical care nursing program or completion of a recognized advanced program in emergency care nursing
- Two (2) years' recent, related experience
